Teaching from Hebrews 10 and Psalm 40, we look closely at what Jesus meant when he said sacrifice and offering you would not, but a body you have prepared for me. Read in its own context, this is not simply about being born, but about a man lifted out of the pit of death and raised to do the will of God. We walk through Leviticus 17 and the truth that atonement is made by the life, not by death alone. We see from Hebrews 5, Hebrews 7 and John 17 how Jesus was perfected through suffering and resurrection to become a high priest of an indestructible life who now makes intercession for us and pours out the very life of God.
