Discerning the Body: Communion and Our Union

We walk through what Jesus actually proclaimed: that the rule of God has come near, that people can change their minds and receive deliverance, and that this kingdom gathers people, casts out the power of darkness, heals the sick, forgives sins, and redefines the Sabbath as God's future rest brought into the now. We then see how the good news of the kingdom led to the resurrection, ascension, and rulership of the Messiah, who was truly dead and was raised by God and seated at his right hand. From there he pours out God's Spirit so that we share in the very life of God.
